ITS RAINING, ITS POURING, FRIZZ ON MY CURLS IS ANNOYING!!!

Hey Bella's.

The weather here in the North West of England is dreadful right now.

The rain and wind in combination can make curly tresses poofs and unmanageable as we all know.

Unless that was the look you were looking for.

Its hard enough to style my hair that I prepared a night before going to a special event, but then I see the wind and rain, and the thought of what I'm I going to do with my hair, comes straight to mind.

So here are 3 quick and effective tips on what you can do to prevent havoc on your hair during the wet and windy season, and always having perfectly coiled hair, no matter what.

TIP 1 : USE A HEAT PROTECTIVE SPRAY

Now wait. I know what your thinking but it does work.

It does keep my hair in place. The idea of hair being wet by the rain is not always advisable especially when the hair is out and not tucked away. But if its worth the risk, try it.  It not only stops hair from frizzing, which ticks all the boxes for me, but additionally, some do have UV Ray Protection from barricading any elements whether wind or the hottest sun shine.

Check out Heat Activated Protect & Shine Mist new Dove's collection.

TIP 2 : BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR------though it can be a friendemy....

This really worked for me.  I was very glad to see how my wash and go hair style held much better then, leaving my hair to air dry.  I do blow dry hair on cool/warm setting, so that seemed to have done the trick.
The after math, no frizz.

TIP 3 : UP DO HAIR STYLES

This style works for me, especially when I do a messy bun.  Keeps my hair in order, and at one peace.

So there you have it, very easy to figure out what other ways to prevent hair mishaps when your out in the pouring rain, but this is a method I use regularly and it has never failed me.

Feel free to give other suggestions or advice on what you may do during these crazy day seasons.

How would you prevent a bad hair day during these wet and windy seasons?

Until next time

YOUR HAIR IS YOUR CROWN AND GLORY!!! HONOR IT, AND IT SHALL HONOR YOU!!!

Hey Bella's.

It got me thinking the other day, why do I not honor my hair enough.

Come on, I know I am not alone in this. LOL

But the truth of the matter is if we want to see the results of great, healthy locks, we got to honor it.

Here are my 3 quick tips on what got me to honor my hair, EVEN MORE.

Number 1#

I bought a book.  Her name is Chicoro.

Thumbs up for this book.  It has no pictures, but I have to tell you, this lady made my heart sing with the philosophy of how she honored her Afro-Textured hair.  Follow her every word she will not do you wrong.

Here are my results from her beautiful book.

"Wet Bunning" my hair is my overall favorite style.

Number 2#

Go to the You Tubers.........Best of three are most definitely, Taren916, MahoganyCurls and Naptural85. They are armed with inspiration, motivation and a thought of, "Hey, I can actually do this style" LOL.

I am the most critical sometimes when its all about the time, I have to spend on my hair.

But these ladies make styling hair naturally, very enjoying and motivational.

Her signature "Curly Fro".

Her signature "Wash And Go's"

Her signature " Twist Outs".

Be free to check other you tubers out there, there is a lot of them. Believe me. LOL

But these are MY main Charlies Angels who have saved my hair from being bored many times.

Sometimes having a visual is all you need to be believe styling natural hair can be done.

Number 3#

Curly Nikki Blog.

And no this is not her. LOL.

This is Michelle Obama, and boy oh boy I wish she could rock out her fro like this one day. Absolutely Fabulous.

Anyway, Curly Nikki. Was out of topic there.

She is a true Guru, when it comes to combining what she knows from her experience with her hair and making her knowledge resourceful to all.

I mean, I give her props for her out standing list of products, she is a real "product junkie" PJ hands down. But she recommends what products works for her, and I can truly vow, all the products she recommends have 10 out of 10 worked on my hair.

Check out the link from down below.  Have fun :)

These are my 3 quick tips on how it got me started on honoring the crown on my head of hair.

Believe me, you got to start from some where and I started here.

What do you love about your hair now?

WASH and GO's

Hey Bella's.

Well I must admit, living in a country like the UK can make a British Curly Girl completely bonkers.

My hair has to endure the most multitude of weather all in one. It can snow, rain, shine and blow a gusty wind all at the same time and that can all happen at once even during the summer time.

Yes its true, and no I'm not kidding. LOL

One way of dealing with this situation is to weave my hair up and away from these elements.

But I wanted to explore a bit and here I saw this cool chick rocking her hair like she came from the salon.

Its called a Wash And Go.

Well at first I checked the time on how long it took for her to do her hair, mind you her hair was long.

.......But it sure weren't quick.......

But I do appreciate the effort on how she handles and styles her hair. So I gave it a go.

Check video out from down below :)!!!

Now I am a real fan of this lady called Mahogany Curls. She is the real reason why I am still faithful to the style.

I will post some pictures of how my hair turns out when I apply her wash and go routine to my hair.

How did it turn out?

Should it actually be called a Wash Style And Go instead?

 Leave a comment from below.

See ya Bella's.

The Quest Has Just Begun!!!

Hey mama-sitas!

First of all, I will be honest. I did not always think being natural was for me at first. Ever since I was a teenager, relaxers was all I ever did....let's say, every 4weeks for touch ups. Not good!

So from the time I hit my 20's, I recognised that all the experiments I've done to my hair as a teen, from glueing down my weaves and leaving it in because of laziness, and busy scheduls, I thought, "what's the harm"!!!

Ignorant bliss as some may say. My hair was as short as a BC. It wasn't even my choice. Lol. Let's say human nature made that choice for me. :)

Hither way, I had to change the way I saw MY HAIR. So I read websites upon websites, in trying to identify, which products works best for my hair.

The major issue was styling!!! I am a Beauty Therapist, so image is everything. How could I be natural, and still keep it looking proffessional?

Believe me, it was not easy, but to my surprise, everybody responded to the change well. Even my fella responded to my hair and felt proud that I do have good hair, so why hide it.

It was an awakening! My quest for the perfect curls was born. It has been almost a year since my last relaxer!!!!!!!! And I am still going strong!!!

When was your awakening? When did you FINALLY make that step, in becoming natural?
